FOOTBALL
The No. 20-ranked Tech football team fell 34-20 at No. 24 Emporia State on Saturday afternoon. The Huskies led 20-17 at halftime but were outscored by 17 in the second half. Abram Larner had a pair of touchdown receptions while Sam Delgado scored a rushing touchdown. Chase Koch led Tech's defense with nine tackles. Tech is 2-1 and returns to Kearly Stadium Saturday for a Homecoming matchup against Upper Iowa. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. in the final non-conference game of the season for the Huskies.

VOLLEYBALL
Tech splits its GLIAC-opening weekend on the road. Davenport won 3-2 on Friday, and the Huskies defeated Saginaw Valley State 3-1 on Saturday. Rachel Zurek led the offense with 4.22 kills per set, Madelynn Kreider set the attack with 10 assists per set, and Keeley Nellis led the defense with 5.22 digs per set. Tech is 5-5 overall and 1-1 in the GLIAC and returns to the SDC Gym this weekend to host Ferris State on Friday at 6 p.m. and Davenport on Saturday at 4 p.m. on Alumni Weekend.

The Huskies fell in a pair of games at Kearly Stadium toÂ
being GLIAC play. Saginaw Valley State won 2-0 on Friday at No. 5 Grand Valley State won 4-0 on Sunday. Tech plays its first conference road games of the season at Parkside on Friday and Roosevelt on Sunday.
