HOCKEY
Michigan Tech hockey begins the
Bill Muckalt era and the 2025-26 season this weekend at No. 8 Minnesota. The Huskies and Gophers last met in October 2012 in Houghton and December 2011 in Minneapolis. Tech was picked third in the coaches' CCHA Preseason Poll and fourth in the media's poll. Stiven Sardarian was named to the Preseason All-CCHA Team by both groups, while Isaac Gordon was also on the coaches' preseason team. The puck drops at 8 p.m. Eastern both nights at 3M Arena at Mariucci.

FOOTBALL
After a weekend off, the football Huskies travel to Wayne State to begin GLIAC play. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Tech is 3-1 overall and the Warriors are 0-4.

VOLLEYBALL
Tech opened the home portion of its schedule with a pair of GLIAC wins at the SDC Gym. The Huskies shutout Roosevelt 3-0 on Friday and defeated Parkside 3-1 on Saturday. Jacqueline Yancy led the offense with 4.0 kills per set, Tess Hayes set the offense with 10.57 assists per set, and Julia Fledderjohn tallied 4.43 digs per set. Tech is 5-6 overall and 2-2 in the GLIAC and heads back on the road for GLIAC matches at Lake Superior State on Friday at 7 p.m. and Saginaw Valley State on Saturday at 4 p.m.

SOCCER
The Huskies dropped a pair of GLIAC matches at Kearly Stadium over the weekend. Tech fell 3-1 to Davenport on Friday and lost 4-0 to No. 3 Grand Valley State on Sunday. Bella Vasoli scored for the Huskies against the Panthers. Bri Barrows had three saves in the first half of Friday's game, while Ludesha Reynolds added 14 saves in the two games. Tech stays at home this weekend, hosting Saginaw Valley State on Friday at 6 p.m. and Ferris State on Sunday at noon.
