HOCKEY
The Huskies return to action this weekend with a non-conference series at Alaska. The puck drops at 11:07 p.m. both Friday and Saturday night from Fairbanks. The games can be heard on Mix 93 WKMJ or watched on FloHockey. Tech is 1-1 and Alaska is 1-3 after falling in the Icebreaker Championship game at Arizona State.

FOOTBALL
Tech improved to 2-0 in GLIAC play with a 16-14 win at Davenport on Saturday. Nic Nora scored the lone touchdown, while Avery Kucharski hit three field goals. Dante Basanese and Chase Koch led the Huskies with eight tackles each. Tech is 5-1 overall and hosts No. 1 Ferris State on Saturday at Kearly Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon.

SOCCER
The Huskies shutout Northern Michigan 1-0 Sunday in their only game of the weekend. Olivia Gette scored the lone goal, and Bri Barrows made five saves between the pipes. Tech continues GLIAC play on the road at Davenport on Friday and Saginaw Valley State on Sunday.

CROSS COUNTRY
The cross country squads raced at the Lewis Crossover with a 17th-place finish from the women's team and a 13th-place finish from the men's on Saturday. Hannah DuPuis had a breakthrough day as the top-finisher for the women's squad with a 24th-place finish, and Michael Dennis led the men's team with a 32nd-place finish. The Huskies are back in action on Friday, hosting the Husky Invitational at the Tech Trails. The men will race at 3:30 p.m. with the women to follow at 4:15 p.m.

VOLLEYBALL
The Huskies fell in a pair of games over the weekend, as Northern Michigan won 3-2 on Thursday at the SDC Gym and Purdue Northwest won 3-1 in Indiana on Sunday. Madelyn Torola averaged 4.0 kills per set on the weekend, while Tess Hayes averaged 10.00 assists per set, and Julia Fledderjohn had 4.78 digs per set. Tech heads back to Indiana for the 17th annual Midwest Regional Volleyball Crossover Tournament. The Huskies will play three matches to wrap up non-conference play.
