FOOTBALL
The football team edged Bemidji State 31-29 in the season-opener in Minnesota on Thursday. Elliott Larner had a pair of touchdown runs, Nic Nora caught and threw a touchdown to Abram Larner, and Avery Kucharski hit a 36-yard field goal. Tech's defense was led by Chase Koch with 10 tackles. The Huskies host Midwestern State in the home-opener at Kearly Stadium on Saturday at noon.
 
VOLLEYBALL
Tech went 2-2 in the UP North Volleyball Tournament to begin the season. The Huskies had a pair of five-set losses to Minnesota Duluth and No. 5 St. Cloud State and swept Cal State East Bay and Winona State. Rachel Zurek was named to the All-Tournament Team. The Huskies travel to Colorado Springs to compete in the Mountain Lion Classic. The Huskies will face host UCCS on Thursday, St. Edwards and South Dakota Mines on Friday, and Midwestern State on Saturday.
 
SOCCER
The Huskies dropped a pair of games at Kearly Stadium to begin the season. Minnesota Duluth won 2-0 on Friday and St. Cloud State was victorious 3-0 on Sunday. The Black and Gold hit the road this weekend to wrap up non-conference play with two games on the campus of Cedarville. The Huskies play Northwood on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. and host Cedarville on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
