HOCKEY
Michigan Tech split its weekend at the Desert Hockey Classic. The Huskies fell to Air Force and shutout Alaska Anchorage. Jack Anderson had a hat trick on Saturday and Teydon Trembecky scored twice while Elias Jansson, Carson Latimer also found the back of the net on the weekend. Tech is 12-8-2 overall and returns to CCHA play this weekend at Bemidji State. The puck drops at 8:07 p.m. Friday and 7:07 p.m. Saturday at the Sanford Center.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The No. 5-ranked Huskies split a home weekend, falling 79-75 to Grand Valley on Friday and defeating Davenport 77-68 on Saturday. Josh Terrian (18.5), Marcus Tomashek (12.5), Dawson Nordgaard (11.5), Gabe Smith (11), and Nate Abel (10) all averaged double figures in the two games. The Huskies are 12-2 overall and 3-1 in the GLIAC and host Northern Michigan Thursday and Ferris State Saturday at the SDC Gym.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Tech split its first home weekend of the New Year, falling 73-53 to No. 1 Grand Valley State on Friday and defeating Davenport 71-65 on Saturday. Alyssa Wypych (18.5), Ella Mason (18), and Janie Tormanen (12) averaged double figures. Tech is 9-3 overall and 3-1 in the GLIAC and hosts No. 12 Northern Michigan on Thursday and No. 23 Ferris State on Saturday.

NORDIC SKIING
The Nordic Ski Teams are in New York for the 2026 U.S. Cross-Country Ski National Championships at Mt Van Hoevenberg in Lake Placid. The Huskies will be competing in four races at the event. The event boasts the most participants in history, and all NCAA teams will be represented as all three regions are counting races at US Nationals towards NCAA Championship qualification.
