Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The Michigan Tech men's tennis team improved to 2-1 on the season with a 6-1 victory at Illinois Springfield on Saturday. Friday's match at Missouri-St. Louis was postponed.
The Huskies earned the doubles point with
Leon Sell and
Laurent Teysseire winning 7-5 in the No. 1 position and
Vitor Jordao and
Landon Coates dominating 6-0 in the No. 2 slot.
Vitor Jordao won 6-2, 4-6, and 6-3 in No. 1 singles.
Adam Fenjiro put away his opponent in the No. 2 position 6-0, 6-1.
Laurent Teysseire won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3.
Landon Coates edged 6-4, 6-1 in No. 5, and
Ian Pinnoo won 6-2, 6-4 in the No. 6 position.
The Huskies get back to action on Friday with another non-conference match at Lewis.
