Men’s Tennis falls in final two road matches

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech men's tennis team fell 6-1 at Ferris State on Friday and 7-0 at Wayne State on Saturday to wrap up its road schedule.
 
On Friday against the Bulldogs, Haitam Aboufirassi earned a point for the Huskies at No. 5 singles, winning 1-6, 7-5 (10-7). It was his third singles win in his first season in the Black and Gold.
 
Laurent Teysseire won the first set before falling in three in his No. 1 singles match against the Warriors.
 
Tech is 4-10 overall and 0-4 in the GLIAC and wraps up the regular season this weekend. The Huskies host Grand Valley State on Friday at 10 a.m. and Davenport on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Gates Tennis Center. Sabri Laphitz will be recognized on his Senior Day on Saturday.
