HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech men's tennis team wrapped up its season with a pair of matches at the Gates Tennis Center over the weekend. The Huskies fell 7-0 to Grand Valley State on Friday and dropped a tight 4-3 match to Davenport on Saturday.
Ian Pinnoo and
Sabri Laphitz won 6-4 at No. 3 doubles for the lone Tech victory against the Lakers.
Landon Coates won his first set at No. 2 singles.
The Huskies took the doubles point from the Panthers on Saturday.
Landon Coates and
Laurent Teysseire won 6-4 at No. 1 doubles while
Dorian Pettengill and
Haitam Aboufirassi took their No. 2 doubles match 7-6 (7-4).
Laurent Teysseire finished off an undefeated day with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles.
Sabri Laphitz won 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 on his Senior Day at No. 3 singles.
Landon Coates again took the first set in his singles contest.
Tech wrapped up its season with a 4-12 overall record and 0-6 mark in the GLIAC.
