Men's Tennis Falls to Wayne State, Northwood

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech men's tennis team dropped a pair of GLIAC matches this weekend (April 23-24) at Gates Tennis Center. The Huskies fell to Wayne State 7-2 yesterday before dropping a 6-3 decision to Northwood earlier today.

Wayne State 7, Michigan Tech 2

Tech took two-of-three points in the doubles competition thanks to winning efforts by the No. 1 and 2 teams.

Mario Neto and Robin Duhnsen earned an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles, while Built Yumuang and Nick Kremkow rallied from a 4-0 hole to win their doubles match 9-7.

Wayne State won at No. 3 doubles and swept the singles matches to clinch the victory.

Northwood 6, Michigan Tech 3

The duo of Yumuang and Kremkow were again strong today vs. Northwood, winning their doubles match 8-4 and earning the only two victories for Tech in singles. Yumuang won at No. 3 singles (6-3, 6-4) and Kremkow beat his opponent at the No. 4 spot (6-3, 4-6, 6-3).

Michigan Tech closes the season with a 5-11 overall mark, including a 2-7 record in the GLIAC.
