HOUGHTON, Mich. – Coming out of the GLIAC Championship week, the Michigan Tech track & field squad will compete in its final regular season meet, traveling to the St. Francis Fighting Chance Invite on May 8-9 in Joliet, Illinois.Â

The Huskies will bring a near full team to the meet to chase personal-bests in the regular season finale.Â
The Black & Gold will have a men's 4x800m relay with 17 entries in the 5,000m, 18 in the 1,500m and 10 in the 800m.
Claire Endres will look to lower her personal-best and school record time in the 3,000m steeplechase as three Huskies entered in the men's 5,000m will look to break 15 minutes for the first time in their careers.Â
Luke Pravecek (15:00.97), Austin Smelker (15:02.56), Derin Apul (15:02.57) will look to join Colman Lenci and Michael Dennis as sub 15 minute performers over 5,000m this season.Â
One Last Thing
The Huskies came away with two 4x800m relay school records at the St. Francis Fighting Chance Invite a season ago with the men's record being broken by the squad of Brandon Latta, Donavan Mattson, Lucas Seng and Austin Smelker (7:55.92) while the women's quartet of Grace Folkema, Brielle Kero, Ingrid Seagren and Sam Shaver took down the women's program record (9:21.53).
