HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech track & field teams are set to compete at the GLIAC Outdoor Championships in Allendale, Michigan, hosted by Grand Valley State on April 30 and May 1.

The Black & Gold are sending 30 competitors to the championships, with the top returners from a season ago being Claire Endres (6th-place) in the women's 3,000m steeplechase and Finnian Stringer (8th-place) in the men's 3,000m steeplechase.
Sam Shaver (1,500m) and Ingrid Halverson (10,000m) were top-10 finishers in the 2025 campaign, taking ninth place in their respective events.
In total, the Huskies are bringing 16 student-athletes making their GLIAC Championship debut. Colman Lenci is making his return to the meet after competing in 2024, while Stephen Loparo returns to the 3,000m steeplechase at GLIACs for the first time since 2023.
For the season, the Black & Gold have five competitors with top-10 performances in the GLIAC. Endres holds the sixth-best time in the 3,000m steeplechase (10:58.95) with Stringer ranking 10th in the men's event (10:00.84).
Michael Dennis will make his outdoor conference championship debut with the fifth-fastest 10,000m time in the GLIAC this season (30:32.14), while Halverson enters the meet ranked ninth in the conference with a time of 37:01.23.
Lenci rounds out the Huskies among the top-10 in the league this season in the 5,000m with his time of 14:39.15.
