HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech track & field squads return to action this weekend, traveling to Platteville, Wisconsin for the UW-Platteville Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Friday's running events begin at 5:30 p.m., with Saturday's competition set for a 1:00 p.m. start.

Following a strong season-opening performance at the WashU Distance Carnival, the Black & Gold boast three marks ranked inside the top five in the GLIAC. Claire Endres leads the way with a 3,000m steeplechase time of 10:58.95, ranking third in the conference, while Michael Dennis (30:32.14) and Ingrid Halverson (37:01.24) sit fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 10,000m.
Endres highlighted the opening weekend by shaving 15 seconds off her personal best, setting a new school record and hitting an NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
Michigan Tech will showcase depth across distance events this weekend, with 13 competitors entered in the 5,000m, 11 in the 1,500m, six in the 800m, and three in the 3,000m steeplechase.
On the men's side, Colman Lenci holds the team's top 5,000m time (14:49.91), while Lucas Seng leads the 1,500m group (4:09.69) and Brady Hager owns the fastest 800m mark (1:58.71).
For the women, Sam Shaver (4:58.89) and Julia Moxey (2:23.84) pace the Huskies in the 1,500m and 800m, respectively.
