HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech men's basketball team was picked third in the GLIAC Preseason Coaches' Poll the conference announced on Wednesday. The Huskies garnered a pair of first-place votes and were six points behind top picks Grand Valley State and Lake Superior State.

Sixth-year head coach Josh Buettner and the Huskies begin the 2026-27 campaign in Wisconsin Dells on Nov. 13-14 against Winona State and Missouri-St. Louis. The Huskies return 11 players from last year's Elite Eight team and have added a transfer and five freshmen.

The conference will name its Preseason All-GLIAC Teams next week and will have season previews for each program.
