Men’s Basketball Releases 2026-27 Schedule

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The 2026-27 Michigan Tech men's basketball schedule has been released highlighted by 14 games played at the SDC Gymnasium as the season consists of a 20 game conference slate and eight nonconference games against teams affiliated with the NSIC, GLVC, SSC and CACC. 

Nonconference

The Huskies open the season at the JustAGame Crossover hosted in the Wisconsin Dells, facing NSIC affiliate Winona State on Nov. 13 and GLVC foe Missouri-St. Louis on Nov. 14.

The Black & Gold will then enjoy four-straight home contests, hosting NSIC institutions Concordia-St. Paul on Nov. 18 (6:00 p.m.) Minnesota Duluth on Nov. 21 (2:00 p.m.) and another bout with Winona State on Nov. 28 (2:00 p.m.). The Huskies will also play host to Marian on Nov. 25 (4:00 p.m.). 

Nonconference wraps for the Huskies down in Florida, as Michigan Tech will partake in the Mocs Christmas Classic, facing the host and SSC institution Florida Southern on Dec. 18 (7:30 p.m.) before concluding the trip with a tilt against Post from the CACC on Dec. 19 (5:00 p.m.)

GLIAC Play

For the second consecutive season, the Huskies open GLIAC play on the road, beginning at Parkside on Dec. 5 (8:30 p.m.) before visiting Roosevelt on Dec. 7 (3 p.m.). After wrapping up non-conference play, Michigan Tech embarks on another three-game road swing, traveling to Ferris State on Dec. 31 (7:30 p.m.), Davenport on Jan. 2 (2 p.m.), and Northern Michigan on Jan. 7 (7:30 p.m.).

The Black & Gold then return to the SDC Gymnasium for a three-game homestand, hosting Wayne State on Jan. 11 (7:30 p.m.), Saginaw Valley State on Jan. 14 (7:30 p.m.), and Lake Superior State on Jan. 16 (2:00 p.m.).

Michigan Tech hits the road again on Jan. 21 for a matchup against Grand Valley State (7:30 p.m.) before traveling to Purdue Northwest on Jan. 23 (2:00 p.m.).

The Huskies alternate between home and road games over the next two weeks, welcoming Davenport on Jan. 28 (7:30 p.m.) and Ferris State on Jan. 30 (2:00 p.m.) before visiting Lake Superior State on Feb. 4 (7:30 p.m.) and Saginaw Valley State on Feb. 6 (2:00 p.m.).

The Black & Gold closes the regular season with five of its final six games at the SDC Gymnasium. The stretch begins with three straight home contests against Purdue Northwest on Feb. 11 (7:30 p.m.), Grand Valley State on Feb. 13 (2:00 p.m.), and Northern Michigan on Feb. 18 (7:30 p.m.). The Huskies then make their final road trip of the regular season to Wayne State on Feb. 20 (2:00 p.m.) before returning home to host Roosevelt on Feb. 25 (7:30 p.m.) and Parkside on Feb. 27 (2:00 p.m.) to conclude the regular season.

Michigan Tech men's basketball, in partnership with the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, announced a multi-year extension, going through the 2031 season with FloSports which began in the fall of 2022. Anyone who subscribes using a GLIAC member institution domain (.edu) e-mail address will be eligible for an additional discounted subscription rate.
