HOCKEY
No. 20 Michigan Tech swept No. 16 Augustana in the annual Winter Carnival series. The Huskies won 3-2 in overtime on Friday and 4-3 in comeback fashion on Saturday. Jack Anderson was named MVP of the series with a goal each night. Max Koskipirtti scored the OT winner on Friday while Tom Leppa, Michael Cicek, Matthew Van Blaricom, and Luca Fasciano also scored. Tech is now 20-10-2 overall and in second place in the CCHA standings with a 15-5-2 conference record. The Huskies travel to Lake Superior State for the final road series of the regular season. The only meeting with the Lakers is at 7:07 p.m. Friday and 6:07 p.m. Saturday.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The No. 17-ranked Huskies swept their home weekend with a 96-76 win over Lake Superior State on Thursday and a 62-52 victory over Saginaw Valley State on Saturday. Marcus Tomashek (25), Jesse Napgezek (14), Dawson Nordgaard (11), and Josh Terrain (10.5) all averaged double figures scoring. The Huskies are 20-4 overall and 11-3 in the GLIAC and start a four-game road stretch at Purdue Northwest Thursday and Wayne State Saturday.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Tech won both of its games over the weekend at the SDC Gym, defeating LSSU 89-76 Thursday and SVSU 68-67 on Saturday. Kendall Standfest (21), Alyssa Wypych (17), Ella Mason (15), and Soraya Timms (11), all averaged double figures. Tech is 14-8 overall and 8-6 in the GLIAC and travels to Purdue Northwest on Thursday and Wayne State on Saturday to begin a four-game road trip.

NORDIC SKIING
Nordic Ski Teams race at the CCSA Championship this weekend at Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis. Saturday will be classic with skate events on Sunday.

The tennis teams get back to action on the road this weekend at Illinois Springfield on Saturday and Quincy on Sunday.
