CROSS COUNTRY
The men's cross country squad earned its second Jo Rider Maroon Men's race team victory in four years scoring 35 points at the Roy Griak Invitational on Friday afternoon. Michael Dennis led the Black and Gold, placing second. Colman Lenci (6th), Zebedee Swager (8th), and Brady Ketzenberger (10th) were also in the top 10. The women's team finished sixth and was led by Sophia Rhein in fourth-place. The Huskies get back to competition on Oct. 11 at the Lewis Crossover.

SOCCER
The Huskies had a tie and win in their GLIAC-opening weekend on the road. Tech tied Parkside 1-1 on Friday and defeated Roosevelt 3-1 on Sunday. Peyton Wetzel scored each game for her second and third goals of the season, while Allison Millina and MacKenzie Dollison also found the back of the net against the Lakers. Tech is 1-4-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the GLIAC and returns to Kearly Stadium this weekend, hosting Davenport at 7 p.m. on Friday and No. 4 Grand Valley State at noon on Sunday.

FOOTBALL
The Huskies suffered a 21-14 Homecoming loss to Upper Iowa on Saturday at Kearly Stadium. Alex Bueno scored a rushing touchdown in the first quarter and threw a TD to Bryce Kurncz in the third. Chase Koch had a game-high 11 tackles on defense. Tech is 3-1 and takes a week off before traveling to Wayne State on Oct. 4 to begin GLIAC play.

VOLLEYBALL
Tech dropped a pair of matches on the road to begin GLIAC play. The Huskies fell 3-1 at No. 12 Ferris State on Friday and were defeated 3-0 at Davenport on Saturday. Jacqueline Yancy led the offense with 5.0 kills per set. Madelynn Kreider set the offense with 9.14 assists per set, and Julia Fledderjohn tallied 6.43 digs per set. The Huskies are 3-6 overall and 0-2 in the GLIAC and finally play their home-opening weekend, hosting Roosevelt on Friday at 5 p.m. at the SDC Gym and Parkside on Saturday at 2 p.m.
