KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Following a stellar year in the classroom, the Michigan Tech soccer team was named a United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award winner announced on Friday.
The academic honor is presented to teams that earn an annual GPA of 3.0 or Higher. A total of 697 soccer teams (283 men, 414 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2024-25 academic year.
The Black & Gold bolstered a 3.76 team GPA for the academic year to be the top GLIAC team recognized by the United Soccer Coaches. The Huskies also had 17 student-athletes on the GLIAC Academic Excellence Team and two on the Academic All-GLIAC list.
