HOUGHTON, Mich. – Michigan Tech Athletics has named Gabe Frontuto the Manager of Ticketing Operations. Frontuto was originally hired in July 2024 as the Recreation Program Manager. In his new role, Frontuto will oversee the operation of the SDC Central Ticket Office.

"We're excited to welcome Gabe into his new role," Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations Curtis Wittenberg said. "His deep understanding of our ticketing systems, coupled with his organization and attention to detail, make him a perfect fit for this position. Gabe has already proven himself to be a valuable member of the team, and I look forward to continuing our work together."

"I'm thankful for the guidance I have received from the entire department and am excited to grow professionally in this new role with such a supportive team around me."

In his previous role, Frontuto assisted with the overall management and operations of Michigan Tech Intramural Sports, Outdoor Adventure Program, and Youth Programming.

Frontuto was a Student Office Assistant with Michigan Tech Recreation since May 2022 and was awarded the Cheryl A. DePuydt Recreational Services Employee of the Year in April 2023. He was also a Counseling Supervisor for Sports Camps and held certification as a responder for emergency situations. 

Frontuto holds a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration, both from Michigan Tech. He was a six-year member of the football team, earning GLIAC All-Academic honors as an offensive lineman.
