HOCKEY
The Huskies swept Northern Michigan, winning 3-2 on Friday in Houghton and 4-0 Saturday in Marquette. Elias Jansson had three goals on the weekend while Isaac Gordon, Logan Morrell, Ryder Matter, and Max Koskipirtti also found the back of the net. Ryan Manzella improved to 6-0 with 18 saves Friday and 22 saves in his third shutout on Saturday. Tech is 15-9-2 overall and 11-5-2 in the CCHA and is off until Winter Carnival on Feb. 7-8 against Bemidji State.
 
MEN'S BASKETBALL
Tech split its weekend on the road against top 15 ranked opponents. The Huskies fell 82-72 at No. 14 Lake Superior State on Thursday and then upset No. 8 Ferris State 88-85 in overtime on Saturday. Marcus Tomashek scored a career-high 45 points Saturday. Tech is 13-5 overall and 8-2 in the GLIAC and hosts Davenport Thursday and Grand Valley State on Saturday at the SDC Gym.
 
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Huskies had a weekend split on the road. Tech trounced Lake Superior State 101-52 on Thursday and fell at Ferris State 75-49. Janie Tormanen (14), Isabella Lenz (11.5), and Maja Kozlowska (10.5) all averaged double figures scoring on the weekend. Tech is 8-10 overall and 5-5 in the GLIAC and welcomes Davenport on Thursday and No. 1 Grand Valley State on Saturday to the SDC Gym.
 
NORDIC SKIING
The Huskies get back to action this weekend at the St. Scholastica CCSA Invitational. Tech will race classic on Saturday and skate on Sunday at the Grand Avenue Nordic Center in Duluth.

TENNIS
The men's and women's tennis teams begin their season with non-conference matches at Hillsdale on Saturday and Northwood on Sunday.
