HOCKEY
The puck drops on the 2024-25 hockey season on Saturday with an exhibition game against Northern Michigan at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena. The puck drops at 6:07 p.m. in the first of six possible meetings between the Huskies and the Wildcats this regular season.
FOOTBALL
Tech is coming off a bye week and begins GLIAC play against Wayne State on Saturday at Kearly Stadium. The Huskies are 3-1 and the Warriors are 0-4. Kickoff is set for noon.
SOCCER
The Huskies split their first GLIAC road trip. Tech fell 2-1 at Purdue Northwest on Friday and bounced back with a 6-0 shutout of Roosevelt on Sunday. Ryley Winrich scored Friday while Julia Pietila scored twice on Sunday with Kiersen Korienek, Brooke Green, Taylor Noble, and Molly Bolang also finding the back of the net. Tech is 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the GLIAC and returns home to host Saginaw Valley State on Friday and Ferris State on Sunday at Kearly Stadium.
VOLLEYBALL
Tech split its first GLIAC home weekend, falling 3-0 to No. 7 Ferris State on Friday and sweeping Davenport 3-0 on Saturday. Jacqueline Yancy led the offense (3.17 k/s), Tess Hayes set the attack (10.67 a/s) and also led the defense (4.33 d/s). Tech is 6-5 overall and 2-2 in the GLIAC and hosts Lake Superior State Friday and Saginaw Valley State Saturday at the SDC Gym.
