FOOTBALL
Tech won its second straight game and sixth straight over Hillsdale, 21-6 on Saturday at Kearly Stadium. Kolby Hindenach scored a rushing touchdown while Darius Willis and Ethan Champney had receiving scores. Hunter Buechel, Dante Basanese, and Chase Koch led the defense with seven tackles each. Tech is 2-1 and continues non-conference play at UW-Oshkosh on Saturday. The Titans are 2-0 with a pair of wins over NCAA Division III top 25 opponents.
SOCCER
The Huskies play three games this week with a Tuesday contest at Northwood and then the home-opening weekend on Friday against Davenport and Sunday versus No. 2 Grand Valley State. Tech is 2-0 and will wrap up non-conference play against the Timberwolves. The Panthers come to Kearly Stadium for a 6 p.m. kick on Friday and the game against the Lakers starts at noon on Sunday.
VOLLEYBALL
Tech went 0-3 at the UP North Tournament at the SDC Gym. Meg Raabe led the offense, averaging 3.5 kills per set. Tess Hayes set the offense (9.6 a/s) and Brooke Dzwik and Amelia Albers led the defense (2.5 d/s). Tech jumps into GLIAC play with a weekend road trip to Purdue Northwest on Friday and Parkside on Saturday.
CROSS COUNTRY
Tech races at the 38th annual Roy Griak Invitational at Les Bolstad Golf Course in St. Paul on Friday. Griak served as the head coach of the University of Minnesota men's cross country team from 1963-1996 and led the Gophers to three Big Ten titles (two cross country, one track & field).
