HOUGHTON, Mich. – Michigan Tech Athletics has named Hope Zander the Director of Event & Ticket Operations. Zander was originally hired in September 2023 as the Event Operations Manager/Athletic Equipment Supervisor. In her new role, Zander will oversee the SDC Central Ticket Office and the athletic equipment staff and operation.

"I am extremely excited that Hope has accepted this new role within our department," Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations Curtis Wittenberg said. "During her time working within the Athletic Department, she has proven that she is dedicated, organized, and detail-oriented. All of these characteristics will be key in her success moving forward as the Director of Event & Ticket Operations."

Zander began her Michigan Tech career as the Health and Wellness Coordinator in the Human Resources office. She previously was the Owner of Simple Nest Home Goods, the Operations Manager at Barkin' Mad Coffee, and a Fitness Coordinator at the Aspirus Fitness Center.

Zander holds a master's degree in sport management from Concordia University, St. Paul, and also earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from CSP.
