HOUGHTON, Mich. – Michigan Tech men's basketball coach Joshua Buettner has announced the signing of Justin Bliesner for the 2025-26 academic year.
"Justin is the type of student-athlete that fits our program and culture perfectly, he's played for a high-level high school and AAU program," Tech men's basketball coach Josh Buettner said. "He makes everybody on the team better and does all the little things that lead to success, while being a terrific student and person."Â
Bliesner, a 6-5 forward from Mequon, Wisconsin, is coming off a junior season where he averaged 5.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.5 steals. Prepping at Homestead High School, he was a two-time all-conference honoree in volleyball–Second Team in 2023-24 and First Team in 2024-25.
In the classroom, Bliesner is a three-time Merit Award Winner and a member of the National Honors Society. He plans on pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering while at Michigan Tech. Â
