HOCKEY
Michigan Tech hockey hosts Clarkson in another non-conference home series. The puck drops at 7:07 p.m. Friday and 6:07 p.m. on Saturday against the Golden Knights. Tech is 2-0 and Clarkson is 3-2.
 
FOOTBALL
Tech football fell 51-13 at No. 4 Ferris State on Saturday. Darius Willis scored the touchdown and Avery Kucharski nailed a pair of field goals. Junyoung Chung led the defense with nine tackles. The Huskies are 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the GLIAC and host Northern Michigan on Saturday for the annual Miner's Cup game. Kickoff is set for noon. The game will be televised locally on TV6.
 
VOLLEYBALL
Tech wrapped up its non-conference schedule over the weekend, going 2-1 at the 16th annual Midwest Regional Crossover Tournament. The Huskies fell to No. 19 Quincy 3-0 on Friday and bounced back with a sweep of Tiffin on Friday evening and a 3-1 victory over Findlay on Saturday. Meg Raabe led the offense (4.00 k/s), Tess Hayes set the attack (10.80 a/s), and Brynn Erickson and Amelia Albers led the defense (3.30 d/s). Tech is 11-7 overall and 5-3 in the GLIAC and hits the road to Wayne State on Friday and No. 15 Grand Valley State on Saturday.
 
CROSS COUNTRY
The Huskies ran at the Bay College Invite on Friday. Grace Folkema led the women with a fourth-place finish while Brielle Kero (7th) and Sam Shaver (10th) were also in the top 10. Donavan Mattson led the men, taking fourth overall. Luke Pravecek (5th), Nik Thomas (6th), Brady Hager (8th), and Derin Apul (9th) also placed in the top 10. The Huskies look to the postseason, traveling to Big Rapids, Michigan, for the GLIAC Championships hosted by Ferris State on Saturday.
 
SOCCER
The Huskies dropped a pair of GLIAC road games, falling 1-0 at Davenport on Friday and 2-0 at Ferris State on Sunday. Tech is 4-8 overall and 2-7 in the GLIAC and wraps up its home schedule this weekend, hosting Purdue Northwest at 5 p.m. on Friday and Roosevelt at noon on Sunday for Senior Day.
