HOUGHTON, Mich. - Michigan Tech wrapped up its fall regular
season in decisive fashion with an 8-1 win over Lake Superior State
today at Gates Tennis Center. The Huskies moved over .500 with the
win at 6-5 overall and 6-5 in GLIAC play.
Tech won at every flight except No. 6 singles. The Huskies
swept doubles with 8-2, 8-0 and 8-6 scores at Nos. 1, 2 and 3,
respectively. Caitlin

Hegyi played an aggressive match at No. 3 to win the closest of
the flights.
In singles, the hosts had the team match won with the first
two matches off the courts. Hegyi posted a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No.
4. Senior Nathalia
Rondelli, playing in her final GLIAC home match, earned the
deciding team point with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3.

Otunchieva were also dual winners (singles and doubles).
"We played with more confidence today and had a good win,"

Axford. "This should help us moving on to the conference
tournament next week."
Michigan Tech will participate in the GLIAC Tournament next
Friday and Saturday (Oct. 22-23).
