NEW ORLEANS – The USTFCCCA released the All-Academic team and individual honors, seeing both Michigan Tech squads earning All-Academic teams, with six individuals being named All-Academic student-athletes.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.
The women's team earned a 3.78, tying for the seventh-best GPA in Division II this fall, concluding the season with a 17th-place finish at the Midwest Regional Championships. Ingrid Halverson (Robotics Engineering) and Alex Li (Materials Science and Engineering) earned a spot on the USTFCCCA All-Academic athletes list.
The men finished the fall with a 3.55 GPA, earning a seventh-place finish at the Midwest Regional Championships with an All-Region performance by Michael Dennis. Dennis (Computer Science), Callen Carrier (Computer Science), Sawyer Fowler (Applied Ecology and Environmental Science) and Brady Ketzenberger (Chemical Engineering) earned spots on the USTFCCCA All-Academic athletes list.
