Michigan Tech Track & Field earns All-Academic honors from USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS – The Michigan Tech men's and women's track & field teams earned All-Academic honors following the 2025 season as announced by the USTFCCCA Monday. 

The Michigan Tech women's team finished the 2024-25 academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.63, the 13th-best across division II while the men's squad owns a 3.39 cumulative GPA, earning both teams USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors. 

Teams earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams who meet all of the following criteria:

1.    The cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, certifiable by the institution's registrar. Institutions utilizing a different GPA scale must convert the GPA to a 4.0 scale using the standard conversion method [GPA/Scale x 4.0].

2.    The cumulative GPA of all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be computed by the following method:

  1. Total the cumulative number of semester hours or quarter hours earned for all student-athletes on the NCAA Squad List including the most recent grading period;

  2. Total the cumulative number of quality points (GPA multiplied by the number of credit hours) earned by all student-athletes including the most recent grading period;

  3. Divide the cumulative number of quality points earned by the cumulative number of semester or quarter hours earned.

3.    Transfer students and/or graduate students are to include only grades earned at the current nominating institution.
