HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech track & field squads are back in action for a midweek meet at the Gary Wilson Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota on Wednesday.

The majority of the Black & Gold will be competing in either the 1,500m or the 5,000m with 17 Huskies in the metric mile and 11 in the 5k.Â
Tucker Ringhand has the top time in the 5,000m with his school-record performance set under the lights two weekends ago, clocking a 14:23.21. Sophomore Connor Stefanovsky in his 1,500m debut posted the quickest time at the Chippewa Challenge with his time of 3:59.39. Lucas Seng has also cracked sub-four in the event, with his 3:59.74 residing as second-best for the Huskies.
Sam Shaver has the top time for the women's squad in the 1,500m with her time of 4:41.55 as Sophia Rhein has set two personal-bests in the 5,000m with her newest personal-record of 17:12.26 occurring at the UW-Platteville Invitational.
John Paul Norland will highlight the 800m squad as he turns to the track for the first time since the season-opener weekend, where he recorded a personal-best of 1:50.87, breaking 1:51 for the first time in his career, running an NCAA Provisional Qualifying time.Â
Grace Folkema will debut in the 1,500m after lowering her personal-best in the 800m in the first two races of her career for the Huskies, most recently clocking a 2:13.93 at the Chippewa Challenge.Â
Callen Carrier and Claire Endres will highlight the 3,000m steeplechase for the Black & Gold as the duo are fresh off of personal-bests at the Chippewa Challenge, where Carrier went 9:27.86 as Endres took six seconds off her record with her time of 11:21.02.
