HOUGHTON, Mich. – After a weekend away from competition, the Michigan Tech track & field squads are prepped for another weekend at the oval office, with a small contingent competing at the Platteville Invitational on Friday and the majority of the team traveling downstate for the Chippewa Invitational Saturday.

The Huskies 5k group will be on full display at Friday's Platteville Invitational hosted at UW-Platteville. In total, 10 student-athletes will lineup for the 3.1-mile race, with Tucker Ringhand and Sophia Rhein looking to continue to lower their personal-bests in the event, as the duo currently have the top-time respectively in the event with Ringhand clocking a 14:34.52 effort as Rhein paced a 17:17.07 in the season opener two weeks ago.
Saturday's Chippewa Invitational hosted by Central Michigan sees eight Huskies competing in the metric mile with top-performers Lucas Seng (3:59.74) and freshman Sam Shaver (4:56.42), seven in the 3,000m steeplechase led respectively by Callen Carrier (9:29.83) and Claire Endres (11:27.02), four in the 800m highlighted by Grace Folkema's 2:15.53 and four Huskies in the open 3,000m.
