HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech track & field teams have a jam packed debut to the season competing at the WashU Distance Carnival on Thursday and Friday and the Billiken Invite on Saturday in St. Louis, Missouri.

Thursday's competition is highlighted by the fast sections of women's 10,000m (Cedar Gordon) and 3,000m steeplechase (Claire Endres) before the nightcap of the women's 5,000m (Sophia Rhein).
Friday morning the Huskies will have racers in the men's and women's 10,000m with 10 Huskies competing in the 5,000m throughout the day with 2024 GLIAC 800m runner-up and Provisional Qualifier John Paul Norland competing in the 800m in the evening. Donavan Mattson and Tucker Ringhand will conclude the Distance Carnival in the final two heats of the 5,000m, entering the meet with personal bests of 14:44.82 and 14:39.29, respectively.
Saturday's Billiken Invite will see eight Huskies in the 1,500m, six runners in the 3,000m steeplechase highlighted by top-returner Callen Carrier and five in the 800m as Jesse Henderson will make his season debut in the pole vault.
