HOUGHTON, Mich. – The No. 21 nationally ranked Michigan Tech men's basketball team concludes the regular season on the road, traveling to Purdue Northwest on Thursday (EST) before venturing to Parkside on Saturday ( p.m. EST).

About the Pride
Purdue Northwest is 6-20 overall and 3-15 in GLIAC play, with two games to play in the regular season. The Pride have won two of their last five matchups, with wins over Roosevelt (94-87 OT) and Davenport (100-74).Â
Collin Albert (15.5), Detalian Brown (12.9) and Jailen Nelson (11.6) average double-figure scoring for the Pride. Nelson records a team-leading 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
Dalton Gayman ranks second in the GLIAC in both rebounds (7.1) and defensive rebounds (5.2) to lead the Pride.
About the Rangers
Parkside hosts the final weekend of the regular season after dropping a weekend against ranked opponents. The Rangers fell on the road to then-no. 19 Lake Superior State (80-54) on Thursday before dropping to then-no. 24 Ferris State (69-60) in Big Rapids on Saturday.Â
Parkside sits at 14-12 overall and 11-7 in the league, residing in a tie for fourth in the GLIAC.Â
Josiah Palmer (15.5), Jack Rose (15.3) and Nick Brown (11.8) lead the way in scoring, logging over 30 minutes per game. Palmer ranks first in the league with 4.9 assists per game, adding 3.6 boards and 1.1 steals.
The Rangers have the second-best scoring defense in the league, holding opponents to 67.8 points per outing.
About the Huskies
Michigan Tech enters the final week of the regular season ranked 21st in the NABC and 16th in the D2CSC poll, riding a five-game win-streak for an overall record of 20-6 and atop the GLIAC with a 15-3 league standing.
The Huskies also reside second in the newest regional rankings as the top team from the GLIAC.
Michigan Tech ranks first in the GLIAC in field goal percentage (47.7) and three-point percentage (37.9), cashing in on 9.9 3-pointers per game, which ranks second in the league.
Junior guard Marcus Tomashek continues to be the top candidate in consideration for GLIAC Player of the Year, leading the Huskies with 23.2 points per game to go with 4.1 rebounds and a team-leading 3.1 assists.Â
First-year guard Ty Fernholz is back in the lineup for the Black & Gold, adding 10.4 points off the bench, shooting 48.9 percent from deep. Redshirt freshman Gabe Smith has started the last five games and has 30 steals in his first season in action.
Michigan Tech earns 28.81 of its total 77.7 points per game off the bench, with veteran Adam Hobson adding 8.4 points, scoring in double figures in three of the last four games.
One Last Thing
The Huskies bested Purdue Northwest (92-59) and Parkside (80-54) in the opening weekend of GLIAC play back in early December by an average of 30.5 points.
