HOUGHTON, Mich. – The No. 22 nationally-ranked Michigan Tech men's basketball wraps its regular season home slate on Thursday, hosting Northern Michigan at 7:30 p.m. before traveling to Roosevelt on Saturday (4:00 p.m. EST) in the second home and away weekend of the GLIAC slate.
Thursday's game will be locally televised on FOX-UP with a broadcast team of Mark Evans (play-by-play) and Dave Ellis (color).

About the Wildcats
After winning four straight games, Northern Michigan dropped a weekend against ranked opponents, falling to then-no. 15 Lake Superior State in overtime Thursday (80-74) and then-no. 20 Ferris State (91-84) on Saturday at the Vandament Arena. For the season, the Wildcats are 16-8 and 10-6 in the GLIAC, residing in fourth in the conference standings.
Dylan Kuehl had a monster weekend for the Wildcats with a 25-point outing on Thursday and a 31-point outburst on Saturday, logging 76 total minutes of action between the two games.
Kuehl averages a team-leading 16 points and 6.4 rebounds per game while having the second-best field goal percentage in the GLIAC, shooting 50.8 percent for the season. Julien Smith adds 11.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per outing.Â
The Wildcats produce 73.9 points per game and pace the league with just 10 turnovers per game, ranking 13th in the country.
About the Lakers
Roosevelt has won its last two matchups and awaits Michigan Tech with an overall standing of 8-16 and a 5-11 GLIAC ledger, placing the Lakers in a tie for seventh in the standings.
The Lakers have two home GLIAC weekend sweeps in their first season in the league despite having a 6-6 record at the Goodman Center. Forte Prater (18.5), Enari Thomas (17.4) and Ramean Hinton (12.2) produce double-digit points for Roosevelt, with Prater adding a team-leading 3.8 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals. The Lakers are littered with pure scorers as Enari recorded a season-high 34 points in Thursday's win over SVSU, while Prater torched Wayne State for 31 points in Saturday's win.
Griffin Yalkich controls the glass for Roosevelt with seven boards per game, as Kennedy Brown collects 5.8 boards.

Michigan Tech entered the top-25 polls this week following a weekend sweep of two ranked teams, besting then-no. 20 Ferris State (75-63) on Thursday before handling then-no. 15 Lake Superior State (80-75) on Senior Day Saturday. The sweep placed the Huskies alone atop the GLIAC with a 13-3 ledger with an overall standings of 18-6.
Much has happened since the weekend as veteran guard Adam Hobson earned GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week honors, junior guard Marcus Tomashek was named to the Bevo Francis award top-50 list and the Huskies cracked the top-25 for the first time this season, checking in at No. 22 in the NABC and D2CSC polls.Â
Rightfully so, Hobson was the best offensive player in the league last week, averaging 20 points for the weekend with back-to-back season-highs of 16 and 24 points, respectively. The pride of Stoughton, Wisconsin, shot 59.1 percent for the weekend (13-22), including 56.3 percent from long range (9-16), adding five rebounds and five assists.Â
Tomashek continues to pace the GLIAC despite a quiet weekend of scoring, averaging 23.9 points an outing, while also leading the team with 3.2 assists to go with 4.3 rebounds. Pete Calcaterra controls the glass with five rebounds per game as Dawson Nordgaard adds 3.8 boards and 9.7 points.
Gabe Smith has established a starting role over the last three games, averaging 28.7 minutes, 14 points on 12-of-20 from the field and 17-of-19 from the free throw line, 4.7 rebounds and three blocks.
One Last Thing
With a win on Thursday, the Huskies will complete a series sweep over the Wildcats for the first time since the 2021-22 season.
