Maryville was tabbed to finish 12th in the GLVC after going 12-14 in the 2023-24 campaign. The Saints are under the guidance of first-year head coach Preston Ingram following the last five years as head coach at Missouri Baptist University.
Maryville has seven returners from last season while adding six transfers and two newcomers to the roster in 2024-25.
The Saints have already gotten playing experience this season, falling to Saint Louis 106-65 in an exhibition contest on Oct. 25. About the Huskies
Michigan Tech welcomes back 14 players from the 2023-24 campaign, including junior guard Marcus Tomashek, who earned D2CCCA All-Region Second Team and All-GLIAC First Team honors following a season where he averaged 22.9 points per game.
Tomashek was tabbed GLIAC Preseason Player of the Year as the Huskies were picked to finish tied for sixth in the league.
Tomashek, a Green Bay, Wisconsin, native, scored 640 points in 28 games during his sophomore campaign, which is the eighth-most points for a season in program history. The Black & Gold bring back four players who started at least 17 games last season in Nate Abel, Pete Calcaterra, Dawson Nordgaard and All-GLIAC Defensive Team member Josh Terrian. The Huskies added three newcomers to the roster in 2024-25 with Ty Fernholz, Layne Risdon and Grant Warren.
