GLIAC TOURNAMENT SUCCESS
Michigan Tech will appear in its 15th GLIAC Tournament this weekend. The Huskies have played in more GLIAC Tournaments than any other school (Grand Valley State is second at 14). Tech owns a 20-12 record in GLIAC Tournament games. The Huskies' last appearance was 2009, when they won at Hillsdale in the quarterfinal before losing to host Findlay in the semifinal.

REETZ RESETS CAREER HIGH
Jordan Reetz averaged 17.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in two Huskies road wins last week. The 6-6 forward scored a career-high 24 points at Saginaw Valley State with 19 coming after halftime. The freshman then went 3-of-6 from behind the arc to help the Huskies defeat Northwood 88-77. Reetz was 11-of-22 from the field including an 8-of-15 performance from 3-point range on the week. He averages 6.7 points per game on the season.

ONE-TWO PUNCH
Ali Haidar and Mike Hojnacki combined for just eight points at Saginaw Valley State, but together went for 40 points at Northwood. The Huskies' top two scorers at 15.4 and 15.3 points per game, respectively, rank sixth and seventh in the GLIAC in scoring. Tech is undefeated at 10-0 when both players get to the 15-point mark in a game.

COACH LUKE SEEKING WIN 300
Head coach Kevin Luke won his 299th career game on Saturday at Northwood. The 17th-year skipper has a career record of 299-188 (.614 winning percentage) and is the winningest coach in program history. Luke is a four-time GLIAC Coach of the Year and was the 2002-03 NABC National Coach of the Year.

STREAKING INTO THE POSTSEASON
Tech enters the GLIAC Tournament with a five-game winning streak. The Huskies' last loss was Feb. 5 at Wayne State. The 2010-11 season could be divided into three segments. Michigan Tech started with a 9-1 record before going 2-9 over its next 11 contests then turning it back around.

COMEBACK KIDS
Michigan Tech has come back from double-digit deficits to win six times this season. That includes three straight-a 63-60 win over Ashland (Feb. 17), a 71-68 win over Lake Erie (Feb. 19) and a 71-67 win at Saginaw Valley State (Feb. 24)-after being down at least 12 each time.

WINNING SEASON GUARANTEED
Michigan Tech has put together a 16-10 record with two regular season games left, marking the team's first winning season since 2004-05. The Huskies were 9-18 a year ago, meaning they'll finish at least plus-seven in wins from last season.

FOWLER AMONG NATION'S LEADERS IN ASSIST-TO-TURNOVER RATIO
Senior Don Fowler tallied eight assists and two turnovers in two games last week. The 6-2 point guard now has 108 assists and 35 turnovers for an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.1-good for eighth-best in the nation and tops in the GLIAC. Fowler has 21 assists and just two turnovers during Tech's current five-game winning streak.

HUSKY BITES
Michigan Tech improved to 14-0 when scoring 70 points after recording 71 and 88, respectively, in its two wins last week. The Huskies are 2-10 when failing to reach 70 points in a game … Michigan Tech has played in seven games decided by three points or less (or in overtime) and are 5-2 in those games … Tech's 3-point shooting percentage of 41.0 is fourth-best in the nation … The Huskies currently boast the GLIAC's longest winning streak at five games.

CULY IMPROVES 3-POINT PERCENTAGE
Alex Culy went 6-of-11 from 3-point range in two games last week to improve his season percentage to 45.3-third-best in the GLIAC and eighth-best in NCAA Division II. The 6-2 guard averages 2.8 3-pointers made per game.

SERIES HISTORY
Wednesday's (Mar. 2) game between Michigan Tech and Grand Valley State will be the 66th in the all-time series between the teams. The Lakers own a 38-27 advantage. The squads have met in the GLIAC Tournament three times, with the Huskies owning two wins.
