Dani Nuest has played a key role for the Michigan Tech women’s basketball program across her three seasons with the Huskies. Throughout the 2025-26 campaign, she saw action in all 29 contests with one start, earning Academic All-GLIAC recognition. Averaging 20.8 minutes per matchup, she posted 4.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game. Her campaign featured a season-best 12 points at Wayne State on February 14, along with three-steal efforts against St. Cloud State and Purdue Northwest. In 2024-25, Nuest featured in 28 games and made 15 starts, contributing 4.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per contest. Named to the GLIAC Academic Excellence Team, she notched career bests with 13 points versus Thomas More, seven boards and eight dishes at Lake Superior State, and five steals against Bemidji State. As a true freshman in 2023-24, she made 15 appearances after making her collegiate debut in the opener against William Jewell, dropping a season-high seven points against Davenport and handing out four assists at Lake Superior State.

Prior to Michigan Tech: Nuest prepped at Becker High School, where she garnered All-State accolades in 2022-23 and All-State Honorable Mention in 2021-22. A two-time All-Conference pick and 2020-21 All-Conference Honorable Mention recipient, she guided Becker to a co-state title in 2020-21, a state runner-up finish in 2021-22 and a third-place state finish in 2022-23.

Born May 13, 2005, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, Nuest is the daughter of Shannon and Cory. Her mother competed in basketball and track at Bethel University, and her father played basketball at Northwestern University in St. Paul. She has two siblings, Courtney and Troy, and enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, playing sports, visiting the lake, and being with friends and family. She is pursuing a business degree at Michigan Tech.
