Freshman Season (2013-14): Earned All-WCHA Rookie Team accolades … Selected as the Norbert Matovich Memorial Award winner for being the team's outstanding freshman … Posted 4-19=23 in 40 games … Led all league defensemen and all league freshman (including forwards) in WCHA scoring with 22 points in 22 conference games … Finished the regular season with a +4 plus/minus rating and seven multi-point games … Totaled 11 points on the power play, tying for sixth in the league in power-play points … Had 18 assists—tied for third-most in the WCHA … Named WCHA Rookie of the Week twice—Dec. 3 after 2-1=3 in a sweep at Alaska and Feb. 4 after 0-3=3 in a sweep at Bowling Green State … Had a career-high four points on one goal and three assists in a 7-4 victory over Northern Michigan Feb. 21.
Prior to Michigan Tech: Played for his hometown Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the BCHL for the previous two seasons.
