Luke Hazelton returns to Michigan Tech as a forward from Maple City, Michigan, where he attended Glen Lake Community Schools. He appeared in 13 games during the Huskies’ 2025–26 campaign, gaining experience with a team that won its second consecutive GLIAC regular-season championship and first Midwest Region Championship. Hazelton was part of the Huskies’ GLIAC Championship team in 2024–25 and earned Academic All-GLIAC honors, along with the GLIAC Academic Excellence Award for his accomplishments in the classroom that season. During the 2024–25 season, Hazelton appeared in 12 games, totaling 37 minutes of action. He recorded career highs of 12 points and 15 minutes played in a single game, shooting five-for-seven from the field and adding three rebounds. He redshirted during the 2023–24 season. Hazelton graduated from Glen Lake Community Schools, where he averaged 22.5 points, nine rebounds and two assists per game as a senior. He finished his high school career with 1,084 points and was a three-time All-State, All-Conference and All-Area selection. He helped lead his team to three conference championships and one district championship and was involved in Student Council Leaders. Born July 1, 2004, in Traverse City, Michigan, Hazelton is the son of Todd and Joanie. His father played basketball at Albion College, and he has two brothers, Reece, who plays basketball at Ferris State, and Gabe.
