Jace Daniels begins his sixth season overall with Michigan Tech in 2026 and is the defensive line coach. He rejoined the staff prior to the 2024 season after being the offensive line coach from 2019-21.
 
Daniels was the head coach for two seasons at Big Foot High School in Walworth, Wisconsin during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
 
Prior to joining the Huskies, Daniels had a stint at his alma mater, Northern Michigan where he was the offensive line coach in 2017 and 2018.
 
Daniels, a native of Escanaba, Michigan, graduated from Northern Michigan with a degree in Physical Education and Coaching. He was a four-year starter at left tackle on the offensive line for the Wildcats. He was a Second Team All-GLIAC honoree as a junior and was named First Team All-GLIAC following his senior season.
 
Daniels moved on to the professional ranks following his collegiate career when he was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). Daniels was in Tampa Bay for over a year and was an offensive guard and center during his time there. Daniels then played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Hamilton Tiger Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL) before wrapping up his professional career with the Baltimore Brigade in the Arena Football League (AFL).
