Biography

Butch Barry will begin his second season as MichiganTech’s offensive coordinator in 2008 after spending a year asthe Huskies’ offensive line coach.

Tech averaged 30.1 points per game last season, and Barry hashad one of his linemen earn All-GLIAC First Team honors each of histhree seasons.

Barry spent the two seasons prior to arriving at Tech coachingthe offensive line at NCAA Division II Southwest Minnesota State,where his line helped the 2004 Mustangs record the third-mostrushing yards in school history.

The Sturgeon Bay, Wis., native played on the offensive line atCentral Michigan from 1996-2000. He began his coaching career atBloomfield Hills (Mich.) High School as an assistant in 2001. Hereturned to CMU as a graduate assistant working with the offensiveline and strength and conditioning during the 2002 and 2003seasons.

Barry, 29, and his wife, Andrea, have an infant daughter,Aislin. They reside in Hancock, Mich.
