SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
• Saginaw Valley State is 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the GLIAC. The conference wins are over • Tech, Northern Michigan, and Davenport.
• The Cardinals are 1-3 on their home field.
• Melanie Kolnitys and Abby Ellis lead the team with three goals each.
• The Cardinals went 13-6-2 overall last season and 9-4-1 in the GLIAC and were picked second in the GLIAC Preseason Poll.
 
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
• Ferris State is 2-3-2 overall and 0-2-1 in the GLIAC. The wins this season are over Southwest Minnesota State and Walsh.
• The Bulldogs are 1-3 at home.
• Haley Muckman leads the team with four goals.
• FSU was picked third in the GLIAC Preseason Poll after going 8-5-6 overall last season and 8-3-3 in the GLIAC.

STATS RANKING
• Bri Barrows ranks second in the GLIAC in saves (54), which is eighth in the nation. 
 
LAST TIME OUT
• The Huskies fell 2-0 at Parkside on Friday.
• Tech earned a 1-1 tie at Roosevelt on Sunday, dominating in shots 33-8, including a 17-5 advantage in shots on goal.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE
• The Huskies have three straight home games.
• Northern Michigan comes to Kearly Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 4.
• Roosevelt (Oct. 9) and Purdue Northwest (Oct. 11) travel to the UP the following week.

COACH KUHAR
• Melissa Kuhar is in her second season as Head Coach of the Huskies.
• She was named the third leader of the program on June 3, 2024.
• Kuhar came to Tech after being an assistant coach for four seasons at Drury University.
• She also had stops at Bethany College and Salina and Saint Joseph High School.
• Kuhar played collegiate soccer at St. Joseph's, Ind., a former NCAA Division II institution from 2014-16.
