ROAD TRIP TO OHIO
• Michigan Tech hits the road this weekend to wrap up non-conference play with two games on the campus of Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio.
• The Huskies play Northwood on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. and host Cedarville on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

SCOUTING THE TIMBERWOLVES
• Northwood dropped a pair of home games to begin the season last weekend, falling 2-0 to Wayne State on Thursday and 4-1 to Saginaw Valley State on Sunday. Madelyn Boyd scored the goal.
• The Timberwolves were picked to finish fourth in the 2026 G-MAC Preseason Poll.
• Northwood is coming off an 11-2-6 season in 2025, which included a 7-2-5 record in conference play and the program's second NCAA Tournament appearance in three seasons. The Timberwolves also set a program record with 10 shutouts.
 
SCOUTING THE YELLOW JACKETS
• Cedarville is 1-1 after the opening weekend with a road win over Lewis in the season opener on Thursday and a 3-1 loss at No. 19 Grand Valley State on Saturday. Tori Aberle and Evania McCandless scored the goals.
• The Lady Jackets are No. 2 in the G-MAC Preseason Poll and received votes in the United Soccer Coaches DII Preseason Poll.
• Cedarville finished 12-3-7 overall and 9-1-4 G-MAC last fall while advancing to the conference semifinals and the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
 
SEASON-OPENER
• The Huskies dropped a pair of games at Kearly Stadium to begin the season.
• Minnesota Duluth won 2-0 on Friday and St. Cloud State was victorious 3-0 on Sunday.
 
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
• GLIAC play begins at Kearly Stadium on Sept. 11 against Saginaw Valley State and Sept. 13 against Grand Valley State.
• The first conference road trip is to Parkside (Sept. 18) and Roosevelt (Sept. 20) to begin a four-game road trip.

COACH KUHAR
• Melissa Kuhar is in her second season as Head Coach of the Huskies.
• She was named the third leader of the program on June 3, 2024.
• Kuhar came to Tech after being an assistant coach for four seasons at Drury University.
• She also had stops at Bethany College and Salina and Saint Joseph High School.
• Kuhar played collegiate soccer at St. Joseph's, Ind., a former NCAA Division II institution from 2014-16.
