Tech takes to the road for two GLIAC matches

HEADING SOUTH
• Michigan Tech plays its first GLIAC road games of the season this weekend.
• The Huskies travel to Parkside on Friday for a 2 p.m. Eastern first kick.
• The weekend wraps up at Roosevelt on Sunday at 1 p.m. Eastern.

WATCH THE MATCHES
• This week's games, including all home and GLIAC soccer games, are streamed on FloCollege.
• Michigan Tech fans can watch all home and conference games in volleyball, basketball, football, and soccer with one subscription.

SCOUTING THE RANGERS
• Parkside is 4-1-1 on the season and 2-0 in GLIAC games. The lone loss was to Missouri-St. Louis. The Rangers are 3-0-1 at home.
• Three different players have scored three goals this season. Kate Brown has recorded four assists.
• Parkside was picked fourth in the GLIAC Preseason Poll after going 10-8-2 overall and 9-4-1 in the conference.
 
SCOUTING THE LAKERS
• Roosevelt is 0-4-2 overall and 0-2 in the GLIAC.
• Bella Perry has a pair of goals while three of her teammates have found the back of the net once.
• Roosevelt was picked ninth in the GLIAC Preseason Poll after going 5-12-1 overall and 3-10-1 in the conference last season.

STATS RANKING
• Bri Barrows leads the GLIAC in saves (43), which ranks fourth in the nation. 
 
LAST TIME OUT
• The Huskies fell in a pair of games at Kearly Stadium to being GLIAC play.
• Saginaw Valley State won 2-0 on Friday at No. 5 Grand Valley State won 4-0 on Sunday.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE
• Tech travels to Saginaw Valley State (Sept. 25) and Ferris State (Sept. 27) next weekend.
• The Huskies then have three straight home games against Northern Michigan (Oct. 4), Roosevelt (Oct. 9), and Purdue Northwest (Oct. 11).

COACH KUHAR
• Melissa Kuhar is in her second season as Head Coach of the Huskies.
• She was named the third leader of the program on June 3, 2024.
• Kuhar came to Tech after being an assistant coach for four seasons at Drury University.
• She also had stops at Bethany College and Salina and Saint Joseph High School.
• Kuhar played collegiate soccer at St. Joseph's, Ind., a former NCAA Division II institution from 2014-16.
