SEASON OPENER
• Michigan Tech begins the 2026 season with a pair of home games at Kearly Stadium this weekend.
• The Huskies welcome Minnesota Duluth for a 6 p.m. first kick on Friday evening.
• It's the second year in a row the Huskies and Bulldogs meet in the season-opener. UMD won 1-0 in 2025.
• The weekend wraps up against St. Cloud State at noon on Sunday.

• Michigan Tech fans can watch all home and conference games in volleyball, basketball, football, and soccer with one subscription.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
• UMD went 6-8-4 overall last season and 5-7-3 in the NSIC.
• The Bulldogs were picked to finish tenth in the NSIC Preseason Poll.
• Senior attacker Jessica Eischens was named a NSIC Offensive Player to Watch, while junior defender Kailey Tomzak was listed as a NSIC Defensive Player to Watch.
 
SCOUTING SCSU
• Last season, SCSU set program records for program records for wins (16) and conference wins (11) while reaching the NCAA Sweet 16 for the first time in program history.
• SCSU was picked fifth in the NSIC Preseason Poll.
• Senior forward Linsey Trapino and junior defender Izzy Halunen were named the preseason players to watch by the NSIC.

COACH KUHAR
• Melissa Kuhar is in her second season as Head Coach of the Huskies.
• She was named the third leader of the program on June 3, 2024.
• Kuhar came to Tech after being an assistant coach for four seasons at Drury University.
• She also had stops at Bethany College and Salina and Saint Joseph High School.
• Kuhar played collegiate soccer at St. Joseph's, Ind., a former NCAA Division II institution from 2014-16.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE
• The Huskies will play 18 games this season with nine on the road and nine at home.
• Tech will face four teams that competed in the NCAA Tournament last season in St. Cloud State, Northwood, Cedarville, and Grand Valley State.
• The Black and Gold hit the road to Northwood (Sept. 3) and Cedarville (Sept. 5) next weekend.
• GLIAC play begins at Kearly Stadium on Sept. 11 against Saginaw Valley State and Sept. 13 against Grand Valley State.
