HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech soccer team is the 10th pick in the GLIAC Women's Soccer Preseason Poll the conference announced on Tuesday (Aug. 25). The Huskies begin the season on Friday with the home-opener against Minnesota Duluth at 6 p.m. at Kearly Stadium.
The Huskies will play 18 games this season with nine on the road and nine at home. Tech will face four teams that competed in the NCAA Tournament last season in St. Cloud State, Northwood, Cedarville, and Grand Valley State.

In the 2026 Preseason Coaches' Poll, Grand Valley State was the top pick with 81 points and nine first-place votes. Saginaw Valley State tallied 71 points and one first-place nod. Ferris State (60), Parkside (57), Northern Michigan (48), Davenport (39), Wayne State (37), Purdue Northwest (27), and Roosevelt (17), were picked ahead of the Huskies (13).
