HOUGHTON, Mich. – The No. 15 nationally-ranked Michigan Tech men's basketball team is headed to North Canton, Ohio, as the No. 3 seed in the Midwest Regional Tournament, facing No. 6 seed Lake Erie.
Michigan Tech returns to the NCAA Tournament for the 13th time in program history and the second consecutive year under head coach Josh Buettner. The Huskies earned a share of the regular season GLIAC title and bowed out in the GLIAC Tournament Semifinals with an overall record of 26-6 and a GLIAC standing of 16-4.
Lake Erie earns the No. 6 seed out of the G-MAC with an overall record of 23-8 and a conference record of 15-5. The Storm fell in the G-Mac title game to top-seeded Walsh.
Walsh will host No. 8 seed William Jewell (22-9), Grand Valley State secured the No. 2 seed and will face Ashland (20-10) and No. 4 seed Rockhurst (27-6) will face No. 5 seed Northern Michigan (27-6).
