Tomashek named to D2CCA All-America Second Team

INDIANAPOLIS – For the second consecutive season, Michigan Tech senior guard Marcus Tomashek has been tabbed a D2CCA All-America selection, being named to the Second Team announced Tuesday.

Tomashek and Nova Southeastern's Dallas Graziani are the lone players to repeat as D2CCA All-Americans from a season ago.

Tomashek, a native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, has produced the best season of his career, leading the Black & Gold to a program-record-tying 29 wins and their first-ever Midwest Region Championship and a second-consecutive GLIAC regular season title. He surpassed 700 points in a season for the second straight year, with 734 points during the 2025-26 campaign—fourth-most in program history.

Tomashek has earned numerous postseason honors, including NABC All-America, NABC All-District, D2CCA All-Region First Team, Midwest Region Tournament MVP and First Team All-GLIAC while also being on the Bevo Francis Award Top 50 Watch List and the Trevor Hudgins Award Top 15 Watch List. He started 34 games this season, averaging 21.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 39.3 percent from the field, 37.2 percent from three-point range, and 78.5 percent from the free-throw line.

He scored in double figures in 33 games, recording nine 20-point performances and eight games of 30 or more points, highlighted by a season-high 39 points against Lynn on Dec. 20. Tomashek now ranks second all-time in program history with 2,447 career points, fewer than 100 behind the Huskies' all-time leading scorer, Kyle Monroe.

Tomashek dominates the NCAA Division II active career leaderboard, leading in total points (2,447), scoring average (19.9), three-point field goals made (344), field goal attempts (1,895), and three-point attempts (930). He also ranks fourth among active players in field goals made (782), free throws attempted (680), and free throws made (539).

The Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-America and All-Region Basketball Teams are sponsored by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA). The teams are voted on by the members of D2SIDA, NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors Association. The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the confer-ences as they discuss views, policies, and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics. It also works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
