HOUGHTON, Mich. – For the third-consecutive season, Michigan Tech men's basketball senior guard has been named by the College Sports Communicators to the 2025-26 Academic All-District team announced Tuesday.

Marcus Tomashek, the pride of Green Bay, Wisconsin, is a two-time NABC All-American and two-time NABC All-District selection, as well as the Midwest Region Tournament MVP. As the focal point of the Midwest Region champions, he has helped lead the Huskies to uncharted territory, including a regional title and an Elite Eight appearance, while guiding Michigan Tech to a 29-6 record and a second consecutive GLIAC regular season championship.

In his senior campaign, Tomashek has started 34 games, averaging 21.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 39.3 percent from the field, 37.2 percent from three-point range, and 78.5 percent from the free-throw line.

He scored in double figures in 33 games, recording nine 20-point performances and eight games of 30 or more points, highlighted by a season-high 39 points against Lynn on Dec. 20. Tomashek now ranks second all-time in program history with 2,447 career points, fewer than 100 behind the Huskies' all-time leading scorer, Kyle Monroe.

Tomashek excels in the classroom, holding a 3.82 cumulative GPA pursuing his bachelor's degree in forestry and was named to the CSC Academic All-America First Team a season ago.
