HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech football team has unveiled the schedule for the 2026 season.
The 104th season of Michigan Tech football features an 11-game slate, highlighted by six home games played at Kearly Stadium, five games on the road, and seven GLIAC contests.
For the third-straight season, the Huskies will begin the season with a week zero matchup against Bemidji State, to be played in Bemidji, Minnesota, on Aug. 27. The Black & Gold have gone 1-1 with the Beavers over the last two seasons, with a 37-17 win over No. 16 nationally-ranked Bemidji State at Kearly Stadium in last year's season opener.
Michigan Tech's first home game of the 2026 campaign will come the following Saturday, welcoming Lone Star Conference (LSC) affiliate Midwestern State to Kearly Stadium on Sept. 5. The Huskies traveled to Wichita Falls, Texas, for the first meeting in program history against the Mustangs on Sept. 18, 2022.
The Huskies' other non-conference road trip will take place on Sep. 12, traveling to Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics (MIAA) affiliate, Emporia State, in Emporia, Kansas, for the first meeting in program history.
MTU wraps the non-conference portion of the schedule, welcoming GLVC foe Upper Iowa to Kearly Stadium on Sept. 19, competing against the Peacocks for the third time since 2023. The Huskies will have a bye week before shifting to conference play.
The Huskies will play four home games and three away games in the GLIAC slate, with road trips to Roosevelt (Oct. 3), two-time defending National Champions Ferris State (Oct. 24) and Saginaw Valley State (Oct. 31).
Michigan Tech will host Grand Valley State (Oct. 10), Northern Michigan for the 24th installment of the Miner's Cup (Oct.17), before hosting the final two regular-season games, hosting Davenport (Nov. 7) and Wayne State for Senior Day (Nov. 14).
