Jack Anderson named CCHA Defenseman of the Week

HOUGHTON, Mich. – Michigan Tech's Jack Anderson has been named the CCHA Defenseman of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. It's his second straight weekly honor, third of the season, and Tech's 15th overall.
 
Jack Anderson was named Winter Carnival MVP as he scored the game-winning goal 10:33 into the third period on Saturday for his second goal of the weekend. He also had an assist on Saturday and was also plus-4 with seven shots on goal and four blocks defensively, while playing 26:58 minutes per game - the second-highest average in the league.
 
Anderson has 19 points this season on eight goals and 111 assists. He ranks fourth in the nation in goals by a defenseman and fourth in CCHA defenseman points.

Tech is ranked No. 17 this week and is 20-10-2 overall and in second place in the CCHA standings with a 15-5-2 conference record. The Huskies travel to Lake Superior State for the final road series of the regular season. The only meeting with the Lakers of the regular season is at 7:07 p.m. Friday and 6:07 p.m. Saturday at Taffy Abel Arena.
