HOUGHTON, Mich. – The 2025 GLIAC Coach of the Year Dan Mettlach has announced the addition of 42 student-athletes to Michigan Tech football on National Signing Day.
"We are excited about this year's class. We took care of needs in all position groups replacing the large number of graduates over the past two years," Mettlach said. "I can't say enough about our staff for recruiting such a high quality group of guys that fit our program in every way."

Bjorn Anderson | 6-3 | 265 | OL. | Marquette, Mich. | Marquette HS
High school: Bjorn is an All U.P. first teamer in his senior season while being named to the all-conference first team, academic all-state and All U.P. special mention in his junior season. He is a member of the National Honors Society and was the Marquette football academic player of the year.
Personal: Bjorn is the son of Derek and Stephanie. While at Michigan Tech, he plans to earn his degree in mechanical engineering.

High school: In his senior season, Grady threw for 1,857 yards and 19 touchdowns while rushing for 155 yards and four touchdowns in 11 games.
Personal: Grady is the son of Julie and Mark. While at Michigan Tech, he plans to earn his degree in construction management.
Jadon Bender | 5-11 | 180 | DB. | Lansing, Mich. | Dewitt HS
High school: Jadon is an all-state, two-time all-region and a two-time all-conference recipient and was named the most outstanding sophomore performer in tack & field. He recorded nine interceptions on the gridiron and holds a long jump personal-best of 20-5.
Personal: Jadon is the son of Sherry. While at Michigan Tech, he plans to earn his degree in business management.
Xander Brock | 6-3 | 295 | OL. | Alma, Mich. | St. Louis HS
High school: Xander is an all-state, all-region, a four-time all-conference two-time all-county, an all-area and Saginaw dream team recipient. In his senior season he totaled 95 tackles, 60 pancakes, 14 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, five receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown.
Personal: Xander is the son of Ken and Keri. While at Michigan Tech, he plans to earn his degree in management.

High School: Maddex is a second team all-conference defensive lineman, a first team all conference defensive lineman, first team all-conference offensive lineman, first team all-region offensive lineman and a first team all U.P. offensive lineman.
Personal: Maddex is the son of Ericka and Nathaniel. He plans to earn his degree in exercise science while at Michigan Tech.

High school: Lance is a two-time honor roll student. He is an all-state Ohio player of the year, region player of the year, first team all-Ohio and a two-time conference offensive player of the year. For his career, he has rushed for over 4,000 yards and 50 touchdowns.
Personal: Lance is the son of Krista. While at Michigan Tech, he plans to earn his degree in business.

High school: Landen is a first team all-conference linebacker, an all U.P. special mention linebacker and an all-region wide receiver. He is also a member of the National Honors Society and a two time All-State academic team member.

High School: Jai recorded five pick sixes his freshman year to go with five touchdowns as a wide receiver. He played varsity all four years and recorded 28 tackles on the season.

High school: Isaac is a two-time first team all-conference selection, an all-state honorable mention and a three-time defensive player of the year. High school: Brett is an all-county and an all-conference KIAA honorable mention. In his senior season he recorded 5.5 sacks, 27 tackles for loss, 11 pressures, 40 total tackles, two forced fumbles and an interception. Academically, he is a two-time Nation Honors Society student of the month.

High school: Jacob was a team captain for an undefeated Dewitt state champion football team. He recorded 50 pancakes, four sacks, and 30 receptions for 400 yards and four touchdowns. In his junior year, he had 40 solo tackles, 32 assists, three sacks for 72 total tackles while having 23 catches for 330 yards and three touchdowns. Schorfhaar is a two-time all-region selection and has been a part of a district championship in 2022, a regional championship in 2024 and a state championship in 2025.
